WHAT WE DO

Commercial & Residential Sprinkler Systems

COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL

Sprinkler System Installations

Sprinkler systems represent one of the most effective tools available for life safety and property protection in high rise buildings. Unlike many passive fire protection measures, a sprinkler system reacts directly and automatically to the heat generated by a fire, typically activating within the first two minutes of a fire reaching a critical temperature threshold. Each sprinkler head operates independently, meaning only those in the immediate vicinity of the fire are triggered, dispelling the common misconception that all heads activate simultaneously. This targeted response limits both fire spread and water damage, a particularly important consideration in residential high rise buildings where occupied flats are directly above and below the fire floor. DRFSC designs and installs systems in accordance with BS EN 12845 and the LPC Rules, ensuring that hydraulic calculations, water supply adequacy and component selection are all rigorously validated prior to installation commencing.

Customer Reviews

Our work speaks for itself across every service we provide, from dry and wet risers to sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps and automatically operated vents. Read our reviews to see why building owners, developers and contractors trust DRFSC to deliver on the most demanding high rise fire protection projects.

Sprinkler System Design Expertise

No two high rise sprinkler projects are identical. Variations in building use, occupancy type, ceiling configuration, water supply source and available plant room space all influence how a system is engineered. Residential buildings covered under BS 9251 require a different design approach from commercial premises governed by BS EN 12845, and mixed use towers with retail, office and residential elements on different floors demand careful zoning and hydraulic modelling across the full building height. DRFSC’s design team has the technical depth to navigate this complexity, producing detailed installation drawings and hydraulic calculations that satisfy the requirements of insurers, building control authorities and independent third party inspectors alike. From concept through to commissioning and beyond, our teams remain engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
